Lately I've been itching to start a new project but it's been hard to find the time with so many things going on in my schedule...January really turned out to be the month of madness! After browsing Pinterest, I came across a canvas design I really loved. For cheap, my roommate and I created a couple cute and fun wall-art pieces. The best part was how easy they were to make...not to mention fun! This little project was perfect for a Sunday. It didn't take long at all, leaving me lots of time to get on with my Sunday to-do list.
What you will need:
-painter's tape (I used the 1" size, and cut some strips in half): $3
-a canvas: depending on the size, the price can range anywhere from $5-$35. I found mine at Micheal's.
-paint: $2.79 from Micheal's
-small paint brush
-optional: stencil ($5-9 at Micheal's), or a cloth doily will do just fine.

Plan your canvas design ahead of time. This way you'll get to see a visual representation of the finished product before you add the paint, and decide if you like it. The painter's tape can be easily moved around, but the paint is permanent.
Once you've decided on the design of your canvas, fill it in with colours of your choice. I chose to use a couple of neutral colours (dark grey and black), and a couple "fun colours" (pastel blue, and silver) for an added pop.

Once you're finished filling in the paint, allow your canvas to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Then remove the tape and hang it!
